Both of our backgrounds are in technology. Mitchell’s is in network infrastructure, Information Technology, and cloud infrastructure. Gabe’s is in software development and cloud infrastructure. Both of us have been tinkering with computer hardware and software for as long as we can remember.
Naturally, we’ve both collected some decent equipment over the years, from microphones and audio interfaces to audio processing software. It took two years of working together before a work colleague remarked “You know, you two should really start a podcast” after we finished explaining a DevOps concept to them over a Google Meet call. We paused and considered it. We did have the gear, we did have the technical skills to make it happen. We could start a podcast. So we did!
It took us a weekend to get all of the tech stuff sorted out. After all, combined we have over 25 years of experience doing this sort of thing. But you shouldn’t need decades of experience to start a podcast, and we’re here to help with the tech stuff so that you can start creating content and putting it out into the world.
